Production calendar with holidays and weekends. What is this calendar and where is it used
The production calendar is an important document that is published for the whole year. Every resident of the Russian Federation is always looking forward to it, because you can plan your vacation on it. The calendar indicates how many days off will be for the New Year, for May and other holidays, and also the working hours are painted.
Our article is dedicated to the approved production calendar for 2015. Let's see what this calendar is and why it is needed.
What is this calendar and where is it used?
The production calendar is used in any enterprise, in any organization. Specialists in the personnel and accounting departments cannot do without it, because it is for him that a work plan for the whole year needs to be drawn up. The calendar displays the following information:
- the number of working days in each month and in total for the year;
- data on days off and working days;
- holidays, when the working day is reduced by an hour;
- norms of working time.
For convenience, all the information contained in the production calendar is broken down monthly, quarterly and six months. Monthly and annual norms of working hours are especially important, since calculation of hourly tariff rates. These data must be accurate and reliable, because it is on them that the whole country is guided.
Based on this calendar, the accountant can carry out all operations, namely, payroll, calculate sick leave, draw up a vacation schedule for employees, create a work plan.
The personnel department also uses it when accounting for working time. Be sure to carefully check the calendar to avoid mistakes and inaccuracies in the calculation of salaries. And it’s very useful for employees to familiarize themselves with it in order to plan their holidays and New Year’s holidays. Based on this document, various types of reporting to state bodies are prepared.
This calendar is based on the norms of labor legislation, mainly on the provisions of the labor code of the Russian Federation and resolutions of the government of the Russian Federation.
Who approves it and when?
The production calendar itself is not approved, it can be found on the Internet or on the Consultant + portal. But it is compiled on the basis of legal norms - annually by the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the transfer of days off in the new year. This is done in order to rationalize the use of non-working days. A resolution is adopted in the second half of this year.
As for 2015, the government took care of the postponement in advance - on August 27, 2014. The draft of transfers was prepared by the Russian tripartite commission for the regulation of social and labor relations. The rules for the year established by the resolution are not subject to change or revision and are final.
The calendar is also based on the provisions of the Labor Code, as discussed earlier. The fundamental articles are Articles 91-93, 101-105 and 112. The latter shall be determined as non-working holidays that are constantly operating in the Russian Federation.
Holidays, holidays and other important nuances in 2015
This is what the official calendar of 2015 looks like:
In accordance with the Labor Code, holidays in 2015, and therefore weekends, will be the following dates:
- January 1-8 - New Year's holidays and Christmas;
- February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day;
- March 8 - International Women's Day;
- May 1 - Spring Festival;
- 9th May - Victory Day;
- 12 June - Russia Day;
- November 4th - Day of national unity.
As a general rule, if a holiday coincides with a weekend, then it should be rescheduled for the day that follows the holiday, if it is a worker. The only exception to this rule is non-working January days.
The working day followed by the holiday is reduced by an hour. Moreover, this applies not only to those who work full-time, but also to those who work part-time or shift.
In 2015, the Government postponed such weekend dates: from January 3 to January 9, from January 4 to May 4. All transfers must take into account the legislative norm, according to which weekly continuous rest is not less than 42 hours.
Thus, in January there are more days off than workers, this is the shortest working month: we rest for 16 days and work 15. New Year's holidays, taking into account all the transfers, will be 11 days - January 1-11.
3 days of rest are provided in February, we celebrate men's day - from February 21-23. Women will also have a spring holiday from March 7 to 9. In spring, when the weather improves, it is always more pleasant to relax, so there will be long holidays - May 1-4 and May 9-11. Holidays in May for a total of 13 days. Russia Day is celebrated from June 12 to 14. In November, there will be no chance to rest for several days, only one day is allotted for the celebration of National Unity Day.
Council of accountants: it is preferable to take a vacation in those months in which there are most working days, then the size of the vacation will be larger. This year these months will be december and July. This applies only to fixed-wage workers.
It is impossible not to mention that 2015 is a very important historical date, this is also indicated in the production calendar. This year is marked by the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Despite the fact that each year the shift schedule is changed or holidays fall on different dates, we rest approximately the same number of days from year to year.
An interesting fact - our country is the leader in the number of days off. In the upcoming 2015, one third of the calendar year is non-working days. Imagine 118 days off! And this does not include annual leave, which is usually 28 days, and for some categories of workers it is even more due to additional days.
Details of all weekends and holidays in 2015 - in the following video:

How to calculate the working hours for any month without the help of a calendar? This is done as follows: the duration of the working week - 40, 36 or 24 hours must be divided by 5, and then multiplied by the number of working days of the calculated month. From the amount received, you need to subtract those hours by which working time is reduced on the eve of the holidays. Similarly, a one-year calculation of working time is performed.
Here is an example: January is the shortest month for work. If your work week is 40 hours, then 40/5 \u003d 8 hours. January working days - 15, which means 8 * 15 \u003d 120 hours. If the week contains 36 hours, then 36/5 \u003d 7.2 * 15 \u003d 108 hours.
A production calendar is a document in which information on all working and non-working days (weekends and public holidays) of a calendar year is presented in tabular form. You can also see pre-holiday days in it, with a shorter working day by one hour and the norms of working hours on a monthly, quarterly, half-year and year basis, with a 40-, 36- and 24-hour working week.
The production calendar is widely used by employees of the accounting service, human resources department when maintaining a time sheet, scheduling work, calculating wages, etc.

According to Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Labor Code of the Russian Federation) (as amended by Federal Law of 23.0412 No. 35-FZ), non-working holidays in the Russian Federation are:

The exception is weekends coinciding with non-working holidays of January. In accordance with Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation has the right to transfer two days off from the number of days off coinciding with non-working January holidays to other days in the next calendar year. - from Saturday January 3 to Friday January 9;

In accordance with the "Procedure for calculating the norm of working time for certain calendar periods of time (month, quarter, year) depending on the established duration of working time per week", approved by order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated 13.08.09 No. 588n, this norm is calculated according to the five-day settlement schedule working week with two days off on Saturday and Sunday, based on the duration of the daily work (shift):
- at 40-hour workweek - 8 hours;
- at a 36-hour working week - 7.2 hours;

The duration of a working day or shift immediately preceding a non-working holiday is reduced by one hour. In 2015, such pre-holiday working days are:
- April 30;
- May 8;
- June 11th;
- the 3rd of November;
- 31th of December.
The norm of working hours calculated in the indicated order applies to all modes of work and rest.
An example of calculating the norm of working time in June 2015 with a five-day working week with two days off (initial data: 21 working days, June 11, the working day is reduced by 1 hour):
- calculation at 40-hour work week:
(8 hours x 21 days) - 1 hour \u003d 167 hours;
(7.2 hours x 21 days) - 1 hour \u003d 150.2 hours;
(4.8 hours x 21 days) - 1 hour \u003d 99.8 hours.
In 2015, 247 business days, including 5 business days, were reduced by one hour. Calculation of the norm of working time for 2015 with a five-day working week with two days off:
- at 40 hour workweek:
(8 hours x 247 days - 5 hours) \u003d 1971 hours; - at 36-hour workweek:
(7.2 hours x 247 days - 5 hours) \u003d 1773.4 hours; - at 24-hour work week:
