If you suddenly decided to start developing your spiritual Self, then the question arises before you: “Where to start your development?”. And this is perhaps one of the most important questions to which you must find answers.

Your main task is to understand and set for yourself the GOAL of this path. If a “goal” is set in your mind, then going to that goal will be much easier.

The goal may be different. Basically, people go to esotericism in order to improve their financial situation in the material world or gain some power over other people. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Once you set a clear goal for yourself, you can proceed directly to knowledge and practice. But, remember one rule that will help you not to turn off the right track. The main rule: "Check for reality!". Those. You must constantly practice the material you are studying. This must be done, otherwise you can eventually get lost in the illusion of your fantasies and get into a psychiatric hospital :)

So, if you firmly decided to embark on the path of knowing yourself through esotericism, then you need to follow the following steps, which I will describe a little lower.

Step number 1

Before you start to learn or practice anything at all, you need to change your mind. Those. You must treat esotericism as a science. All associations with magic and other tales must be ejected from your head.

It’s now that you think that such a person’s abilities as reading information, working on materializing future events, leaving your consciousness out of your body are fairy tales or nonsense. But, go back at least 60 years ago. If then there would be a person who informed the whole world that in 2010 there would be no big box with which you can find any information (texts, music, movies), through it you can call from almost anywhere in the world the same box and not only to call, but also to see the interlocutor ... then, such an enlightened person would be mistaken for a mentally ill or a storyteller.

And why? Yes, because at that time people did not think about what could be. For many, it would not even have crossed the mind that such a miracle box could even exist.

So, you need to recognize the fact that superpowers may well be available to every person. If you start thinking about it, then you will already take the first step towards development.

Step number 2

After the idea that you may well have superpowers has taken hold in your head, you can begin to master meditation.

Meditation  - This is a tool that allows you to relieve your consciousness from unnecessary problems. With daily practices, all domestic problems go by the wayside. Through meditation, you can get answers to your questions, you can go into subtle worlds and much more.

Now the main thing for you is to master the basics, find your meditation techniques. Your task at this stage is to learn to completely free your attention from everyday problems and thoughts.

Many people think that in order to get the result of meditation, you need to go to the mountains and sit in the Lotus position for a couple of hours. No, this is a misconception.

Enough and an ordinary chair + calm music. For example, I personally use the sounds of nature (rain, wind, sounds of crickets or leaves) ...

Step number 3

After you begin to practice meditation, you can proceed to work with energy and chakras.

The energy of your body is very easy to feel. It is enough to actively rub your palms from each other and part them at a distance of 15-20 cm. Next, imagining that there is a balloon between them, begin to squeeze and relax it. Almost immediately, you will feel the viscosity in the palms and not much tingling. Congratulations, you felt the energy of your body.

The most adequate and effective material that I studied on the topic of energy was the Bronnikov Method. You will feel the result on yourself after studying the first two steps. Further more!

Finding the “Bronnikov Method” on the Internet is not difficult. There are many lecture videos on YouTube, and there are also e-books that you can download for free.

Step number 4

Search for like-minded people. After you have received the first results from your practices (meditation and working with energy), you need to find people who also practice esoteric teachings.

Why is this necessary? First of all, so that you have an idea of \u200b\u200bhow the techniques that you practice work. Those. You should always double-check everything for practice and compare it with the practice of other people. It will be a kind of protective shield that will protect you from your illusions ...

And the very last stage is the search for a teacher who would continue to work on the development of your “spiritual Self”. As a rule, if you begin to actively study the basics of esoteric teachings and communicate with like-minded people, then the teacher will find you himself. At least that was the case with me and my friends.

That's all. I outlined to you the path that you need to go. Although, this is not the only right way. There are hundreds of options for the development of the soul of a person and the knowledge of their superpowers.

The books that I list below are the best I've come across in many years. Some of them are very unusual ... Perhaps not all of them will "go" ... Some just need to grow. But it’s definitely worth a try.

Don’t be afraid of the names, phrases, and terms that appear in the book’s contents, forewords, and chapter list. Books from the list are written in a simple and understandable language, but nevertheless, many of them are very complicated and “multi-layered” things, the meaning of many of them comes only after some time. Tested on my own skin ... 🙂

The list will give the best books in the main areas. Only together they will give a very good and "balanced" understanding of many things that are worth knowing and understanding to a person who is attracted to esotericism.

There is definitely no "garbage" that was written exclusively for making money on gullible gullible and superstitious hysteria. 🙂 Only the best books on esoterics that I have been able to read.

I must say right away that probably not more than 3% of what I read was in this list of books on esoterics. This, as they say, is “candidate minimum”. 🙂

Based on information from the books of Carlos Castaneda, a group of practitioners from Russia developed their own stalking techniques and. In fact, there is not only about hatha yoga, there is information about other areas. A bunch of useful information and practical things in a simple language without oily speeches and “charms”, into which all kinds of “enlightened ones” often fall into. 🙂
  • Paramhans Swami Mahesvarananda. “Chakras and kundalini. The hidden powers of man. "  Subject - human energy device. The best book on chakras, again without any tricky speeches from pseudo-gurus. Excellent information on the topic, with a description of the device, the mechanisms of the chakras and the effects of practices.
  • Swami Sivananda (whatever comes) Yoga is simple, logical, accessible, again without any mysticism and “cockroaches” characteristic of Eastern authors. All the books the author has read are excellent.
  • Sakharov “Opening the third eye”. clairaudience. A step-by-step practical guide to developing extrasensory perception abilities. Simple, consistent and understandable.
  • Mantek Chia - wrote a lot of great books on, which can not be said about the captured video. 🙁 Read everything you find, but I especially recommend the books Iron Shirt, A Treatise on Changing Muscles and Tendons, Neigong and Tao of the Light (I’m not sure about the name here).

  • Robert Monroe (all you find). Astral exit, WTO. Classic themes. The most famous author.
  • Mikhail Rainbow (everything you find). Astral exit, WTO. Conducts training on the WTO.
  • "Simoron & Simoron" Burlan-Do "". The modern school of "magic", the technique for obtaining the desired in the spirit of modern magic.   • Vasily Golovachev “Forbidden Reality”  and there are a couple of good books whose names I don’t remember. Heroic adventurous fantasy (mostly). The author has many works, but only a few of them really make you think and suggest very interesting thoughts. You can take it as a fantasy, or you can turn on the brain, imagination and common sense, then everything will turn out completely or not quite fabulous. 🙂

The study of esotericism in practice cannot be reduced only to reading books, only practice is taken into account, how you live and what you do, having this information in your head.

There are basically four types of esoterics:


1) yajna vidya, - knowledge of the occult powers awakening in nature through the performance of certain religious ceremonies and rituals;
2) maha vidya, - the esotericism of the Kabbalists;
3) guhya-vidya, - knowledge of the mystical powers contained in the sound (ether), that is, mantras (monotonously chanted prayers or spells), and depending on the rhythm and melody used; in other words, an esoteric action based on knowledge of the forces of nature and their relationships;
4) ATMA VIDIA, a term that translates simply as “spiritual knowledge” (the true Wisdom of the true Esoterics is the Mahatma), but meaning much more.

Namely, the latter kind is the only kind of esotericism that everyone should strive forwho seeks spiritual knowledge, who are inspired by the “Light on the Path,” and want to be wise and selflessly help people. All other types are a kind of offshoot from the "esoteric sciences", that is, the arts belonging to the sphere of material nature, no matter how invisible their essence.
  The first three types of esotericism can be gained and produce results, good, bad or neutral; but atma-vidya notes their little value. Atma-vidya itself includes the first three and can even sometimes use them, but only after they have been cleansed of impurities, pursuing good goals and taking care of depriving them of any selfish motives.
  Let us illustrate this with an example: any man or any woman can independently study one or all of the above-mentioned “esoteric arts” without any serious preliminary preparation, or even without adaptation to the excessive restrictions of their lifestyle and even without a sufficiently high moral standard. But as a result, all of them sooner or later will turn into the worst sort of sorcerers who rushed rampantly into black magic.
  Namely, voodoo and dugpa eat, drink and have fun in the labyrinths of madness of the newly-made ignorant esotericists. Those who seek peace, calm and prosperity in esotericism will fall into the voodoo and dugpa networks. They will never again find peace, day or night, for their own selfish desires and constant dark whispers will feed a restlessness that will no longer be overcome. Their hearts will be so filled with passions and selfish desires multiplied by the strength of the incoming psychic energy that it will be impossible to pass through the Golden Gate of Esotericism to the next stage of spiritual ascent. Sooner or later they will have to fall into witchcraft and black magic, become a slave to Dugpa and Voodoo, thereby accumulating terrible karma for themselves.
  Thus, Western esoteric practices deserve reprimand, not glory, gained through an abominable way. For, let us say it again, hypnosis, vivisection, esotericism practiced in the West is purely veiled witchcraft, but devoid of the knowledge that voodoo and dugpa enjoy, it leads esoteric egoists into their clutches.
Once having made a mistake, people who have not outlived the self evade awareness of their mistake, thereby plunging themselves more and more into the swamp. Their thinking falls under the influence of astral areas of misunderstanding, where voodoo and dugpa dominate. And, although their primary intention was based on the implementation of white, not black magic, the results of even involuntary, unconscious witchcraft cannot but produce bad karma. Enough has already been said to make it clear that witchcraft is any kind of evil or selfish influence exerted on other people, animals or nature. Such causes should cause consequences, and they are fully evident in the just law of retaliation.
  Someone, despite all the warnings, will practice in practical esotericism. But let them remember that they understand the nature of esotericism or not, whether they believe that the rules imposed on students are too strict, and therefore atma-vidya or spiritual esotericism can be neglected - their fate is very unenviable and sad - turn into voodoo or dugpa in this life, eking out a terrible and slavish existence during the next several rebirths, and as a result - the end of human evolution.

A lot of sad and terrible things can be avoided if people refrain from rushing into activities whose nature and meaning they do not understand.

Someone will ask: "Well, doesn’t it study esotericism? Is there no other way — the right way?"

Of course there is.

To begin with, do not let the person carry the burden too heavy to be able to bear it. Let him not strive to become a "Mahatma" or hierarch, buddha or great saint - let him simply study philosophy, spiritual sciences: astrology, palmistry, esoteric physiology; develops and strengthens morality, mental energy, awareness, spirituality, but most importantly - let him work for the benefit of people, using the knowledge gained, and he will be able to become one of the greatest benefactors of mankind, without any superhuman powers.
Siddhis (or the powers of arhats *) exist only for those who are able to lead a “hard life”, to make the great sacrifice that is required for such training, and to obey without question. Let people know and always remember that true esotericism or Theosophy is “Great Self-denial of HIMSELF”, unconditional and absolute, in thoughts as well as in actions. This is ALTRUISM, and he takes the practitioner beyond any categories and ranks among all living beings - "he does not live for himself, but for the world."

So, man decided to learn esoteric practice. What awaits him?  From the moment of such a decision, he falls under the close supervision of the Higher Forces. Even if a person does not realize this, the tests have begun. Let a person write down this date so that he can then summarize the results of achievements through the first three years, the second, third, seven years.
  Much is forgiven during the first years of trial. But the newcomer will not be “accepted” until his personality disappears, and he will have to become a completely beneficent force in Nature.
  So, from year to year, without losing his life, in his labors, in fulfilling his civic, family duty, studying the foundations of esotericism, applying the knowledge gained to the Common Good, collaborating with the devotees of the Light, who has embarked on the path of esotericism will gradually come closer to his cherished dream - training in practical esotericism. This preparatory period can take many years, but soon it will take at least several decades, or even several lives. It all depends on the aspiration of man to get rid of his self-selfishness. And then a person will hear the Voice of the Invisible Teacher calling in Shambhala. For only there can one understand atma-vidya, and nowhere else on the planet.
  It should be firmly and clearly remembered that after this only two poles of choice, two paths remain for him, and there is no place for rest between them. He must either climb tiringly, step by step along the golden stairs leading to the state of the Mahatma (Arhat or Bodhisattva), often through numerous rebirths, not hoping for devahanic rest, or - he will fall from this staircase on the first false step and slide down to the state Dugpa .... Are you ready for such a life? Are you ready to take a chance? Does such a goal attract you? Can you overcome the incredible difficulties of the path?

The applicant must make an unconditional choice between worldly life and life according to esotericism. It is futile to try to combine both, for no one can simultaneously serve two masters and at the same time please both. Is it possible for a person to enter the “open gate” of esotericism if his daily and hourly thoughts are connected with worldly things, desires for possession and strength, lust, ambitions and duties, which, even if they are worthy of respect, are nevertheless worldly ? Even love for a wife and family - the purest, since the most disinterested of human drives - is an obstacle to true esotericism. For if we take as an example the holy love of a mother for her child, or a husband for her wife, even in these feelings, if we analyze them to the very origins, then in the first case there will still be self-love, and in the second - mutual selfishness. What mother would not sacrifice hundreds of thousands of lives for her child’s life without a moment's hesitation? And what kind of loving person or faithful husband would not destroy the happiness of any other man or woman around him in order to satisfy the desire of the one he loves?
  One who would like to take advantage of the wisdom of the universal mind must achieve this with the help of holistic humanity, without distinction of race, temperament, religion or social status. It is altruism, and not egoism, even in its most legitimate and noble manifestation, that can lead a person to merge his little ego with Universal Entities. It is to these needs and this work that a faithful student of true esotericism should devote himself if he wants to acquire Theosophy, that is, divine Wisdom and Knowledge.
  One who indulges in the pleasures of earthly love or lust after devoting himself to ESOTERISM will soon have to feel what the result of this is: he will be irresistibly thrown out of an impersonal divine state into the lower material plane. Sensual, or even mental self-satisfaction, includes the immediate loss of spiritual insight - the voice of the Master can no longer be distinguished from the voice of his passions or even the passions of dugpa; true - from false, healthy morality - from simple casuistry.

There are "born magicians", mystics and esoterics from the moment of birth and by right of direct inheritance of this ability, associated with a series of reincarnations and eons of suffering and failure. They can be said to be "resistant" against passions. No sparks of terrestrial origin can fan the flames in their feelings and desires, no human voice will find an answer in their souls, except for the great cry of humanity. Only they can be guaranteed success. It is not easy to meet such people, for they pass through the narrow gates of esotericism, since they do not carry with them the personal baggage of human transient feelings. They are spared the feeling of a lower personality and an “astral” animal being, and before them a golden, albeit narrow, gate is open.

But this is not the case with those who must bear the burden of sins committed in past lives and in their present existence during many more reincarnations. For for such people, even if they acted with great care, the golden gate of Wisdom can turn into a wide gate and a wide path "that leads to destruction", and "there will be many who enter into them." This is the gateway to esoteric arts practiced for selfish reasons and in the absence of the limiting and beneficial influence of ATMA-VIDIA.

We are in Kali-yuga, and its fatal influence in the West is a thousand times stronger than in the East; hence the easy prey achieved by the Forces of Darkness in this cyclical struggle, and many illusions over which the world is beating in our time. One of them is the relative ease with which, as it seems to people, they can enter the "Gate" and overcome the threshold of esotericism without any great sacrifice. This is the dream of most egoistic philistines, inspired by the desire to achieve Strength and personal well-being through esotericism. But not for this is esotericism.
  Let them stop here and make no more attempts because of their moral and spiritual weakness. For, if you turn your back to the narrow gate, they will be attracted by the desire for a practical esoteric, - to the wider and more hospitable Gate of that golden secret that flickers in the light of illusion - woe to them! This will only lead to the state of Dugpa, and you can be sure that very soon they will find themselves on the fatal road to Hell.

  Esoterics for beginners - the concept is rather strange. But, since there are thousands of such queries in search engines, it means the article can be useful. What is esotericism in simple terms? Where to start learning? What then? Risks, benefits and prospects. Let's figure it out together.

1. What is esotericism for beginners?

Esoterics  - This doctrine of the hidden faces of the world is not recognized by science.

To rely on science is a thankless task - we know that. Not so long ago, scientists insisted that the earth was flat, mercury was useful, stones did not fall from the sky, phones were useless, aircraft heavier than air were impossible, etc. Now they have already recognized the recognition of quantum physics as a part of science. But she absorbed a good half of the esoteric sections. It turns out that   esotericism - not mysticism, and a science whose time has not yet come completely.

What does this mean for us? Either we recognize it and attribute ourselves to the intellectual vanguard, or we reject and continue to defend the old foundations, holding onto flat land to the end. There is a third option - suitable for most - just not to think about it.

2. What relates to esotericism?

Everything can be attributed to the sphere of esotericism. But, for clarity, we can talk about such areas as:

  •   (study of other worlds inside and outside the human mind, dreams, astral projection, the influence of psychotropes and meditations, trances, hypnosis)
  • work with energy (chakras, subtle bodies, energy flows, acupuncture, remote exposure, treatment and harm without direct contact, objects of strength)
  • control of consciousness (self-change, awareness, NLP, psychotechnics)
  • peace control (work with flows, rituals, intention, pendulums and)
  • information extraction (all types of fortune telling, communication with essences and subconsciousness, clairvoyance and psychometry, dowsing)
  • body work (yoga, tensegrity, gypsy)
  • social sphere (applied psychology, stalking)

3. The benefits of esotericism.

Clinging to the topic of esotericism, a person is often completely absorbed by it. He changes to the root, his habits, environment and life itself change. A person begins to think. Reflections on the unknown and the unknowable become background for him and he grows intellectually. Bad habits quit. Esoteric ceases to understand why he drank and smoked before (for example). But more importantly, it ceases to harm the world around it. He ceases to transmit negativity to the people around him and begins to see much more positive in his life. This positive is manifested in everything. He begins to appreciate and love his life. That alone is worth a lot.

Speaking more globally, a person who is interested in the topic of esotericism ceases to destroy and begins to create and create. And this creation of the new world brings him pleasure.

4. The harm of esotericism.

Starting to think, a person becomes harmful to the system. Why, for example, does the government need an entity that refuses, by order, to go to kill or die? What does the system care about whether a person appreciates his or someone else's life? An example is rude but fair.

This is where the main danger lies. A man is hammered into the framework of society. And when this framework begins to crumble - society will not understand this. Did everyone see the movie “The Matrix”? Cars do not need a free man. And in life there are the same invisible forces, for the time being, ready to force a person back into the capsule.

If you just read esoteric literature, you are safe. But if you start to think, the protective mechanism will turn on, which will "return you to reality."

I understand that I have very vividly described the danger. But there’s no point in talking more specifically about it, because for everyone in life everything happens differently. Just remember that if you leave the flock, an evil shepherd will come and try to drive you back with a stick.

5. Where to start the study of esotericism?

In this question there are only a few basic rules for beginners:

  • train perfection
  • train mindfulness
  • listen to the world

Everything else is my advice:

  • start with a change in thinking (for example, V. Zeland’s book “Reality Transerfing”)
  • strengthen energy (there are a lot of practices)
  • build clarity of thought (meditate)
  • don't stick in theory
  • don't believe everything you find out
  • read
  • communicate

Always remember - esotericism is not what it seems!

If in time you decide that you understand what esotericism is and start to consider yourself an expert, you will become another warrior in a horde of pseudo-philosophers and pseudo-mages, you will settle in some all-esoteric forum and you will raise your own self-importance at the expense of others. It will take away all your clarity of thought, energy and time. This is hard to avoid. Almost everyone goes through it. It is important to remember in time that movement is life. It is important to understand when you stop moving, give yourself an impulse and leave without saying goodbye. Then you will continue your journey into the unknown.
