At the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), admission rules and a student enrollment plan in 2017 have been approved. After studying at the Far Eastern Federal University for some time, I decided to write a review, weigh the pros and cons.

Admission

As in any other university, you can enter here by the results of the exam or by the entrance exams, if you already have a higher or secondary special education. Documents can be submitted electronically, in person and by mail (if you passed the points).

Passing score

Passing score depends on the specialty and school. So, the School of Natural Sciences (SHEN) received a budget with 140 points, although the School of Biomedicine (BWM) barely passed as much as 210. Each year the points are different, but I was lucky, or an accident, but it was in my year admission passing points on some specialties were reduced, including mine.

Only 12 buildings, 2 of them are located outside the campus, 3- sports buildings, A- the main building.

Each building has several food outlets: somewhere fast food, somewhere canteens. As for the prices. then everything is VERY VERY expensive! But delicious. I often take rolls, bagels, cakes and coffee. Just in my case there are no dining rooms. And you can even buy ice cream, milkshakes, waffles, very healthy cookies, eclairs, cakes, fruit drinks and much more! In general, if you have money then you will not stay hungry. Almost all food outlets are very cozy: there are soft sofas, tables, lamps, toys, pillows and books. The very thing is to wait for the couple!

Also in the buildings there are copy centers or devices. On average, there are 4 rubles per sheet. So there you can easily print a diploma or a term paper, as well as flash work.

Absolutely in every building at almost every step there are toilet rooms, in which there is EVERYTHING. And there is always clean, always bring everything on time.

Also on campus there is a hardware store where you can buy EVERYTHING !!! From simple batteries to 7 iPhones. And the quality there, in my opinion, is at the highest level. Plus, the equipment is still being repaired, so if you have any problems, you don’t have to go to the city.

Case A is another story. There are 3 or more catering places in this building, but I don’t remember, two bank branches - Sberbank and Gazprombank, also a Rosneft branch. In this case you can buy everything for poor vision, as well as check it. Separately, we can say about the SENS salon: this is where everyone does it efficiently and you can not worry about the result. They do everything: from bangs to hair treatment with fire, tattoo, shugaring. There is also a solarium. And the prices here are reasonable.

At level 10 there is a large library where you can find everything if you wish.

In general, in A building, all sorts of rehearsals and games are held, such as "What Where When?" or "Own game."

Now about studying

Studying here, I’ll say right away, is very difficult. And it’s difficult not even to pass the session, but to the fact that this session affects the settlement on the campus, otherwise you will have to live in the city not in the very rays of the hostel. Another difficulty is a zero rating. This is when they put to you what you have gained during the semester, without the opportunity to fix it, even a session will not help. The average grade for campus accommodation is 4.25. only the second session affects; practice does not. However, in the rating system, you can close your session before its onset, in the test week. Another bold minus is the Bachelor 2.0 program. This is when you study unnecessary disciplines, so that later, if you could, you could easily go to the second diploma.

Learning starts at 8:30, the couple walks for 1.5 hours, and the break is 10 minutes. But sometimes, when you need to run to another building, these 10 minutes are simply not enough.

In total, there can be no more than 5 pairs, although some put an additional 6 - this can be either a consultation or just a transfer.

The teachers, specifically in my department, are just perfect. I don’t know why I was so lucky with them.

Physical Education

I will highlight it as a separate item, because I would like to talk more about the directions.

As you know, fighting in any direction and doing it at least all the time, BUT! not in undergraduate 2.0, although they made concessions and many remained where they were. The bottom line is that for 2 years - 4 semesters, each must go through 4 different directions. Minus - in the fall you do not immediately go to study in the direction you have chosen, but do it outside, under the sun. The pair itself goes about an hour.

One of the directions is swimming. You can go there even if you do not know how to swim, most likely they will teach you. But the view leaves much to be desired - a one-piece swimsuit, glasses, hat and slippers. You won’t be beautiful there) It’s easy to get a set-off, you need to pass several types of swimming.

Sports games: football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis - this is still one area. But you do not play the whole couple, but only after the warm-up, which takes most of the time.

Martial arts. Honestly, I did not understand what to do there.

Aerobics. Normal fitness, but in order to get offset, you need to pass a combination, like a dance, and the load is big there, so few people want to go there.

Gym. You do the whole pair on simulators, warm up and that's it.

SPECIAL GROUP! MY FAVORITE SPECIAL GROUP! This is the place where I run with joy. Firstly, you yourself choose what to do today: badminton, stretching, running, darts, table tennis, jump rope, back exercises. You can also relax, doing almost nothing. Autumn walk in the forest, along the promenade, in the park. This is just a dream, not physical education.

Scholarship

The scholarship for admission to the budget is 1700-1800 rubles. In high school, 3500-4500. When closing a session without 3, but not "excellent" - 2800. On "excellent" in ordinary specialties - 4500. On rare occasions, few people go, it is difficult to study - 7500. Plus, if you go to any sections, student councils, then you The scholarship is accrued even more, but it would be for this time ...

You can go to study as a counselor, guide or builder and earn money over the summer, though the training itself will be paid.

Paid training

The average price is 120,000-17,000,000, but with excellent study, you can transfer to the budget or, in extreme cases, take the target.

Hotel buildings

There are a total of 9 hotel buildings on the campus, like 5 on Ajax. Ajax buildings are practically no different from campus ones. Well, city hostels do not count, it is difficult to call a hostel, but it seems there are 3. There are 2, 3 and 4 bed rooms to choose from. Everyone has a different price, for a 3-room suite 3100 per month (with a refrigerator without a sea view). A suite is two rooms. One of them has 2 beds, the other one bed. Someone is lucky who settles faster) The room has a bath, shower and toilet. Of the minuses: thin walls, breakdowns after previous residents, cockroaches (they do not exist at the entrance, they settle already with people), but they are poisoned. Water (but it can be ordered). Although the hair and skin from it deteriorate notably. From the pros: if something is broken through no fault of yours or clogged, then you will do everything for free. Once in 1-2 weeks cleaning in the buildings, wash mirrors, toilets, vacuum cleaners. But if something suddenly happened, you can always ask for a vacuum cleaner at the reception. Iron, by the way, too. You can also put in the room another refrigerator, microwave, slow cooker, kettle. But categorically impossible tiles !!!

Also in some buildings (6,8,9) there are shops. There are more expensive than in the city, but you can buy. There is everything: from toilet paper to a pregnancy test. In the 8th building there is a cosmetics store. There is a small pharmacy in building 7. At the 10th medical center In the 9th building they take photos, keys and printing. In the 11th building is a hairdresser. In 8 and 11-paid laundries.

Kitchen

The kitchen has 2 cookers with 4 burners, 2 tables, 2 sinks and a microwave. If you need a baking sheet, you can take it at the reception. Before cooking, be sure to turn on the hood. Sometimes especially sloppy people are too lazy to clean up after themselves, so you can often see a greasy stove with all kinds of pieces of food, a dirty table and a clogged sink. They wash it all, but sometimes they have to do it themselves, because cooking in the pigsty is not very good.

Well, as in all dormitories, you can’t drink, smoke (anything), carry weapons, drugs. By the way, there are smoking rooms all over the building, where you can calmly stand with a cigarette and will not be told anything. Entrance only by passes. If someone comes, you leave the pass, everything is simple. But the security, at least we are not fair. When we allegedly violated the rules of residence, although they just heard the conversation and did not know for sure whether it was or not, they entered only me into the violators, although they “caught” several people. Oh yes, they still check the bags, so it’s better not to put anything forbidding there.

In general, if you do not want to study, then you better look for another place. Because it is really difficult here, you need to study without 3, otherwise you will live in a garbage dump in a city dormitory. So you lose time, money and desire.

A little more than a month remains before the start of final certification in schools, after which the admission campaign to higher educational institutions immediately starts. Strongly disagree with this opinion. Among the universities, of course, there is competition, very high, but this is not an indicator of thoughtless enrollment of all comers. A university is not a vacuum cleaner to collect everyone. FEFU, confirming the status of a federal university and occupying high places in ratings, consistently increases the requirements for applicants and enrolls only the best - we really strive for this.

- How is the preparation for the admission campaign going? Do you make predictions about the number of applicants?

The Far Eastern Federal University carried out a set of measures to prepare for the start of the 2016 admission campaign. In January and March, the campus on about. FEFU today is really a federal university. Since 2011, we have been consistently working to attract talented children from outside of Primorye. The university was created not as a regional, but at least as a Far Eastern one. The past four years have shown that FEFU in geography of students has stepped far beyond the borders of the region.

According to the results of the admission campaign of 2015, applicants represented 76 subjects of the Russian Federation - almost the entire country. We have reached the indicator when half of the applicants who participate in the competition come from outside of Primorye. Competition among applicants intensified, and at the same time, the quality of recruitment increased significantly.

- What are the features of this year's admission campaign?

I repeat that there are no fundamental changes. And this is good, because any changes cause nervousness in applicants and parents.

Certain innovations relate to the winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiads for schoolchildren. In accordance with them, the results of the olympiads are now valid for four years following the year of the competition. This expands the possibilities of gifted applicants, because earlier their successes were taken into account when entering only one year.

One nuance should be taken into account - in 2016, the deadlines for receiving documents were tightened. Reception of documents from applicants in all areas and forms of training starts on June 20. Enrollment in full-time undergraduate and specialist programs for places financed from the federal budget will take place in two stages: until 1 and until August 6; to the magistracy - until August 17. Admission to contractual places ends 10 days before the start of classes.

Will go to the budget - organized and purposeful applicants. High scores play a decisive role, but do not carelessly relate to the deadlines for submitting documents.

- How many budget places will FEFU offer to its applicants?

In full-time and part-time forms of education, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia approved 4436 places funded by the federal budget. The recruitment plan has remained at the level of the previous year, which means that the ministry sees us as the responsible executor of the state task. The number of budget places is good, so school graduates have a real chance to get higher education at the expense of the state.

The vast majority of budget places are spent on full-time education, which is formed mainly due to graduates of schools, but negative demographic processes still persist. Yes, there are no sharp transitions, but there are few graduates, because of this, universities froze in the pit. For FEFU, with its huge potential, Primorye applicants are already sorely lacking, so we try to intensively recruit from other regions. This is the first direction, and the second is attracting students from abroad. This year and in the following we will significantly increase the number of foreign students admitted to the first year of study, primarily from neighboring countries. Already today, more than 2,500 foreigners study at the Far Eastern Federal University, by 2019 we will reach the rate of 30% of foreign students.

- It’s good that foreign students are coming to you, but are you able to attract teachers from abroad?

You have correctly noticed that international competitiveness is expressed not only in the interest of foreign students on the part of foreign students, but also among the teaching staff, including recognized scientists. We are also actively working in this direction.

FEFU experts developed a project for the development of scientific work of the university, which was called 35 TopLabs. This year, the number of participants in subject Olympiads held by FEFU independently or jointly with partners has almost doubled. This trend pleases us and demonstrates the relevance of work in this direction. More than 2,000 people from all over the country participated in the final stage of the “Ocean of Knowledge” Olympiad, more than 500 took part in the finals. FEFU and the Ocean Center have held this Olympiad in 10 subjects for several years, first in the correspondence format and then in person as part of the shift "Russian intelligence". According to its results, winners and prize-winners this year were more than 140 high school students who, upon admission to FEFU, will receive an additional five points to those that they scored upon passing the USE.

FEFU also traditionally acts as a regional venue for more than two dozen competitions with partner universities. These Olympiads were attended by children from all over the Far East and other Russian regions.

- What incentive programs are developed at FEFU to attract talented applicants?

From year to year, we encourage applicants with high exam scores. This is an important indicator when an applicant with high scores, with whom he will be accepted to any metropolitan university, decides to cover a long distance, sometimes he is ready to go from the other end of the country to enter our university. The status of high-ranking students is received by applicants who scored 210 or more points in total according to the results of three entrance exams and for individual achievements. For applicants for areas with four entrance examinations, this score is set at 300. For all applicants who meet this criterion and will be enrolled in the first year, FEFU guarantees the payment of an increased scholarship from the first semester of training. According to statistics, 1200-1300 people become holders of such a scholarship annually. In addition, high school students who entered the university from outside Primorye will be able to reimburse travel expenses to the place of study at the expense of the university.

An advantage when entering FEFU can only be additional points for individual achievements. At the Far Eastern Federal University, a student enrollment plan for 2016 was approved.
