Reiki is a very ancient and very effective "laying on of hands" healing system that has come down to us.

Reiki is a Japanese word with two syllables. The syllable "rei" denotes the universality of the method, it is the level of spirit and soul. The syllable "ki" stands for life energy.

Reiki is universal life energy. Understanding the Reiki system comes through practice and experience, which is individual.

The Reiki system, including hand positions and all the symbols, does not work without a special process or ritual, which different masters call differently: initiation, attunement, initiation.

The process of initiation of a student can only be carried out by a Reiki master!

In a person receiving attunements as a Reiki healer, with the help of attunements, the channels of the body are opened and freed from blocks. From that moment on, he no longer receives life energy, or Ki, for his own healing, but connects to the source of all universal life energy.

Practicing Reiki at the first stage, we become more and more aware of the mechanisms that occur in the physical body. For example, when we have a wound that hurts, we put our hands on it, and it begins to revive, all processes become active, and gradually it heals.

We do the same on the second step with our lived life. The only difference is that the causes of our mental and emotional wounds are on a more subtle level than the physical body is in our mind. We begin to get acquainted with our mind in a new way, with the mechanism of its work, and for a start we begin to notice that we ourselves are not the mind.

By bringing attention to our lived life, starting from the moment of conception, we dissolve the tensions that have accumulated in our body, mind and emotions. These tensions accumulate in a thousand and one situations, as a result of a certain attitude towards what is happening. Melting these tensions, we release the energy trapped in them, and it feeds us.

As a result of practice, the mechanism of creating our own suffering becomes clearer to us. We accumulate attention in order to notice our "attempts to suffer" at the very beginning. And then we have a choice - to continue to suffer or to be more mature. J

We unfold our life as an opportunity to live it again, more relaxed, heal our wounds of the past, and live the present moment more easily and freely, without prejudice, without projecting past experience onto present situations.

2nd stage - practice "Mental session".

The mental session is the second degree Reiki practice. With the help of a symbol, we tune in to work with the space of our mind.

Going into this practice, we instantly penetrate into our mind, into the mind of every cell of our body. And this means that we are working with the root cause of our stress, whether it be physical pain, emotional distress or endless internal dialogue. With the help of a mental session, you can relax any problem that you face in your life, whether it concerns the state of your physical body, emotions or mental tension.

This practice will require you to be honest about the situation. If you are doing a mental session, be prepared for the fact that you will meet the truth, you will not be able to shift the responsibility for the situation that you got into, and as a result of which something went wrong for you, to someone else. You will clearly see that any pain that arises in you is the cause of your own thoughts, actions and deeds.

You can do a mental session not only to yourself, but also to other people.

At all times and all peoples had an idea about the origin of the entire Universe from a single source. About the existence of the Creator, God the Father, the Most High, who is our progenitor. Each nation in its own language gave a name, a name to God and to that creative force, that energy, with the help of which everything that exists was created. The energy that pervades the entire world and fills it with life. The energy of the Creator gives each person the opportunity to revive in himself those vital forces that are necessary for the healing of his body and Spirit.

Reiki (universal life energy) is one of the names of the Energy of the Almighty, which in fact was always and everywhere alone and with the power of love created miracles of creation and miracles of healing.

Master Hawaya Takata, widely known in Russia, called this energy in different ways: Divine Power, Cosmic Energy, Universal Life Force, Radioelectronic Waves, Etheric Waves, Prana, Mana. Ms. Takata compared Reiki to the energy emitted by a radio transmitter—invisible and inaudible until the radio picks it up and converts it into sounds. Similarly, Reiki is always present around us, and we do not perceive it until we come into contact with it through training, after which we can receive it and use it as a healing energy.

The essence of the healing practice of Reiki is quite simple. As a result of passing through the initiation of the first stage (initiation, attunement), a person opens (rather even, it is restored, and not reappears) the ability to consciously, and therefore more effectively, receive the energy of the Heavenly Father. There is an opportunity to transfer this energy through your own hands to the problem areas of your body, or to another person in need of help. It should be emphasized that a person does not give out his own energy, but serves as a transmitter from a pure and inexhaustible
source of energy that feeds all living things. You do not need any special skills to be able to practice Reiki for active self-healing after setting up the first degree.

In the Usui Reiki Ryoho system, the first degree is called Shoden. Translated from Japanese, it means "entry". Entry into practice, acquaintance with the philosophy of Reiki, with the spiritual aspects of this system of healing.

At the first stage it is very important to learn concentration of attention, to develop the ability to consciously realize the principle of "being here and now" and being at rest. To work with Reiki, there is no need to restructure the consciousness, however, it is useful to focus on the treatment, although Reiki turns on automatically whenever hands are placed on that part of the body that needs energy support.

The initiation of the first stage is carried out in the form of a seminar (usually three days), in which the listener learns a very large amount of information. At the seminar, instructions are given on how to use this energy, the main rules for conducting a Reiki session are outlined. A person is taught certain positions of the hands, as they are commonly called - the positions of the hands, basic and additional. However, at the seminar of the first stage they also talk about the fact that there are no “wrong” ways of transmitting Reiki. The most important conditions for effective interaction with the subtle world are considered, as well as recommendations on the procedure for formulating healing programs and even the principles for constructing a prayer.

The very same initiation of the first stage sets its task, first of all, the healing of the student. After such attunement, the student can receive for himself or transfer the energy of Reiki to his relatives and friends, gradually gaining the experience of healing. Only practical work can strengthen and improve a person's ability to use and transmit Reiki.

The environmental friendliness of interaction with Divine energy is very important, and already at the stage of preparation for the initiation of the first stage, a person should understand that Reiki can be used exclusively for harmonization, help and treatment. This energy cannot be used to harm anyone. In fact, one of the goals of Usui Reiki practice is “finding happiness of the highest order,” in the words of the famous Japanese master Hiroshi Doi. This happiness, like the energy itself, never leaves you anywhere, and lies in the awareness and feeling of being a filled and whole being, which is an integral part of the boundless Universe.
