The problem of narrowness of consciousness, its tunneling and narrow-mindedness is a universal human problem. And intelligence officers are not supermen, but ordinary people. Only they take an oath to the motherland. And so they are obliged to follow her letter and spirit.

Games with consciousness are very dangerous, especially with the consciousness of people who are vested with power and can make important decisions for the country and society. “VB.K” - Well, what really was done by the security service at that time? What troubles did your wards save from?
B.K.R. - We managed to save a lot and not so much of our protected persons as the country itself. For example, from a probable war with China in five to seven years. We thwarted Yeltsin’s first visit to Japan. It was supposed to be held in 1992. As we know, the president was intensely “programmed” to give away a number of the Kuril Islands to Japan. “VB.K” - How substantiated were your fears? What sources have provided you such information?
B.K.R. - Our informants involuntarily turned out to be the first persons of Western Europe and the USA.
