Olesya Chernikova wrote a poem and presented it to the competition. The work of the young poetess was highly praised by the jury. Olesya was awarded the Diploma for the II place in the nomination “Poetic sketch on the theme:“ I want the world to be on the planet ”.”

The graduate bachelors of the Faculty of Marine Transport Management of the Maritime University was held in the assembly hall of the university on July 1. 67 graduates received higher education diplomas in the field of maritime transport management, 18 of which were excellent.

It’s joyful because a new generation of young people has entered an independent life, and sad because they say goodbye to college, with their beloved teachers, who have been walking together for four years and supporting in difficult times.

On July 3, in Vladivostok, the solemn laying of wreaths and flowers at the monument to the “Sailors of the merchant marine who died in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” marked the Day of the Marine and River Fleet Workers.

The ceremony was attended by acting Heads of Vladivostok Konstantin Loboda, representatives of the city administration, representatives of the administration, officers and cadets of the Maritime State University named after Admiral G.I. Nevelsky, the leadership and veterans of the Far Eastern Shipping Company, representatives of the Primorsky regional branch of the All-Russian movement to support the fleet and the maritime public, pupils of patriotic clubs. 4-year cadets of the Navigation Department of the Sakhalin Higher Maritime School have shown their navigation skills on radar simulators.

According to legend, which was developed for cadets by teachers of the Sakhalin Higher Maritime School and the Maritime Educational Center, three crews of future skippers should navigate their container ships without crash on a given route in Tokyo Bay, where more than 100 ships are moving along with them.

On June 2, the Nadezhda sailing training ship with the Russian Maritime Center on board leaves for the first flight of this year. On board are 111 cadets of two maritime colleges of the Admiral G.I. Nevelsky Maritime State University - freshmen and sophomores - future navigators, ship mechanics and electromechanics.
For a whole month from the moment the whole cadet team arrived aboard, the guys put the ship in order after a lengthy repair - they sanded, scrubbed, painted, did all the dirtiest, primitively simple at first glance, but such necessary work for any ship. In addition, the forces of cadets under the guidance of boatswain almost three thousand square meters of sails were raised with cadets' arms and armed on all yards, the last of which - bom-bram-yards are at an altitude of almost fifty meters.
  The ship will leave the Golden Horn Bay after the solemn farewell on the morning of June 2.

G.I. Nevelsky.

Maritime State University. adm. G.I. Nevelsky (Vladivostok) enrolled about 826 cadets and students into 18 higher education programs. As the university’s admissions committee told PortNews IAA, the total number of applications is several times higher than the recruitment quotas in all major areas.

About 4 thousand applications have been submitted for higher education educational programs. In total, for four specialty programs represented by cadet majors, 360 people were enrolled in budget places.

176 cadets (11 girls) were admitted to the Faculty of Navigation (specialty “Navigation”), the average exam score was 169, and the competition was 1.44 per place. The faculty of shipbuilding (“Operation of ship power plants”) received 153 cadets, the average mark - 154, the competition - 1.31. 45 cadets with an average score of 162 (competition - 1.75) were enrolled in the electromechanical faculty in the specialty “Operation of marine electrical equipment and automation equipment” (20 students (14 girls) with an average score of 171 (specialty “Technical operation of transport radio equipment”) competition, 1.89).

Acceptance of applications for places with payment of tuition fees continues. Most of the freshmen are residents of Vladivostok and the Primorsky Territory, however, the geography of applicants covers most of the Russian regions - from the Far East and Siberia to the western part of Russia.

The traditional leaders of the selection campaign for selection quality are two specialty programs (10 budget places each, a passing score of 200): “Information Security of Telecommunication Systems” (competition - 5.56) and “Information and Analytical Security Systems” (competition - 3 ,8).

As the executive secretary of the university admissions committee Marina Koval-chuk said, the admission campaign found a predicted increased interest of applicants to technical engineering specialties. The number of school graduates aiming to work on a technical profile and passing the exam in physics and computer science is growing every year.

It is also noted that the attention of applicants is attracted by training programs carried out jointly with the industrial partners of the university. So, in partnership with LLC Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex (part of Rosneft), this year another set of training was carried out under the targeted training program in the areas of “Shipbuilding, ocean engineering and systems engineering of marine infrastructure facilities” and "Engineering".

As for the humanitarian specialties, among them the leaders are “Jurisprudence” and “Economics”. In total, 208 applicants have been enrolled in undergraduate programs so far. The final results of the recruitment will be known in a month, when the acceptance of applications for full-time education with payment (according to the plan - more than 300 people) and for part-time education (according to the plan - 150 budget and paid places) will be completed.
